Not going to lie, hyped am I. I does like this classic Bee look.
I agree, BK. The longer hair looks cool, wish I thought of it before. I may explain the change-over in the storyline. We’ll see.
It would have been awesome if Bart had a retro hairstyle like a couple gigantic “Welcome Back Kotter” perm-fros and pornstaches during the flashback.
And I would make a smart remark about the nuts line, but I’ll resist the temptation…
…Oh, what the hell? “That’s what she said!”
Bill, that would’ave been a great idea!! And, sure, go ahead, give us more puns. I purposely put that “nuts” line in there to tempt the punsters…..
Ohhh, shades of MaxRep and the time someone tampered w/ the space station air circulation system – caused everyone to . . . well, I won’t say cuz it might spoil what possibly might be coming next.
BTW – can’t recall the name of the gas, but was also used in a blaster gun format by the police in the AstroTitan strip.
Great memeory Alex! Yes, don’t give any hints away!!
Actually the blaster guns were “Notrogen Depletion Beam” technology. That probably will come up in this series as well sometime.
Thanks – I’ve added the phrase to my supplementary dictionary in Word.
I also recall Quadra was a major fan of an Elvis-looking rock star, who was suddenly taken out of the picture when his head exploded. Later, we saw him (what was left of him, that is) being turned into a jacked-up cyborg by the Lizard kingpin of crime and an owner of music recording company.
Cool! I hope to add new terminology from the Quadra-verse as things progress. Needless to say obviously you were/are an original Max Rep reader. May I welcome you back! The Deltvis Pressley/cyborg head/lizard kingpin thing is one of the storylines I never did finish in the old series. I do intend to reinstate Quadra’s fascination with the jacked rocker at some point.
Yeah, I use to read MD back in the day, Max Rep was one of the two reasons I got it on a regular basis, the other was the tri-fold centerspread w/ the featured FBBr of the month.
[Yes people believe it or not, there really was a time when FBBrs were concidered a critical asset of the mags - sometimes 1/2 the coverage in the mag was about them.]
